Product Description
Every cell in the body is designed to run at -20 to -25 millivolts. To heal, we must make new cells. To make a new cell requires -50 millivolts. Chronic disease occurs when voltage drops below -20 and/or you cannot achieve -50 millivolts to make new cells. Thus chronic disease is always defined by having low voltage. This book tells you how to measure your voltage in each organ, how to correct it, and how to determine why your voltage dropped enough to allow you to get sick.

5 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT!   July 24, 2010

If you are somewhat familiar with the literature and attendant concepts, this amazing book will absolutely make your brain explode! The conclusions/recommendations arrived at in this work emerge from fundamental elements observed and connected in ways that are novel, yet obviously legitimate and "solid." These matters are thoughtfully presented to the reader with great diligence. Rather than politically safe and useless pablum, catering to currently-reigning, business model-based "standards of care," this is a full dose of real science. Ten stars!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Content, Poor Print   August 17, 2010

The first review said, "it will absolutely make your brain explode!" I think that that could be an exaggeration. I'm 3/4 finished with the book, and my brain has not exploded. But I do feel that Dr. Tennant is really onto something here. I would also suggest reading Dr. Mark Starr's book on hypothyroidism.

Although I gave the book five stars because of its content, I would give it one star for its print quality. There are at least 100 typographical errors in the book, probably many many more. I don't think it was ever edited. 'Don't believe me? Buy a copy for yourself and see. It has more typos than any book I've ever read before. But I believe Dr. Tennant to be a true genius who just isn't all that good at typing.

The photos and charts in the book are all poor quality. The charts given look like they are scans, but made very very small. I can read very small print, but because the charts are like newsprint (all dots, and gray dots instead of black dots at that), much of what is reproduced is impossible to read. Again, you'd have to see it to believe it.

In a way, I feel as if I have been ripped off because of the charts and diagrams being unreadable. I sure would like to be able to read some of them. But that didn't keep me from giving the book five stars, because what Dr. Tennant says makes perfect sense to me.

5 out of 5 stars Very interesting book   August 28, 2010

This book describes a very interesting theory of how voltage affects our body. Traditional medicine does not embrace these views because medical schools are supported by major drug companies, and drug companies sponsor only profitable ideas.

Here is an example. People who suffer from constipation do not need to take constipation medicine. It's enough to prepare a salad with FRESH, NOT COOKED - beets, carrots, and either cabbage or celery. Cooked veggies do not have the same properties.
Does anyone think that drug companies will inform people that their constipation medicine is not needed, and this "bowel movement salad" is much more beneficial because it contains vitamins?
No, the officers of any company have a duty not to harm the company they work for. This duty is more important than ethical considerations. We simply can not trust them.

Another example. One of my relatives, an old woman, was taking ten different medicines. When she moved to Israel, her doctor told her that only three are needed. The other seven medicines were prescribed by doctors - drug dealers simply because doctors get kickbacks from drug companies for prescribing their medicines. The main purpose is just looting of the Medicare fund. No surprise that Medicare fund is in trouble.

Many thanks to the author for important contribution to alternative medicine.

5 out of 5 stars Good information, bad book production   August 24, 2010

Having been educated in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I must say I find Jerry Tennant's "Healing is Voltage" appealing. He puts forth logical reasoning behind his conclusions and theories and that is where allopathy falls way short. Modern conventional medicine does not appear to rest on any sound science and the medical "art" doesn't have any. To me, Dr. Tennant makes sense.

The only negative side to this book is what I see with so many books these days. What happened to proof readers? And I'm not talking about correction software but real, live proof readers who know the king's English.

The errors and omissions do not detract from the overall theme but they do make it tedious going in spots. Additionally, the graphics have a lot of room for improvement. The detail is very difficult to see in a lot of them.

Anyway, I give it five stars just because I think what Tennant has to say needs to be said.

5 out of 5 stars How to stay healthy   August 30, 2010

I first listened to this amazing man on Coast to Coast radio. DR. Tennant was admitted to medical school at 19, helped perfect laser eye surgery and implanted corneas, until finally coming down sick from the microbes that the laser surgery he preformed released. I'm not a doctor or anything close, so I might get some of the medical terms confused, but here's what I got out of the book.

Our bodies are electrical and to perform and heal we need to be at a PH of 7.0. When we're hurt, say you sprain your ankle, swelling occurs and blood rushes to the site. That's your body bringing in new raw material to heal the wound. If your PH, (a way of measuring voltage) is too low, you can't heal properly. What gives us the proper PH? Well, foods for one. Some foods are more acidic (voltage stealers) such as caffeine, alcohol, and sugar to name some of my favorites. Other foods are more alkaline(voltage raisers) such as fruits, veggies and exercise because moving our bodies also raises our voltage.

Now why is this important? Well, because cancer happens when the body's voltage goes too low and stays there. Which is why science says that cancer loves low oxygen, acid and sugar. Some have said that cancer can't grow in an alkaline environment. That's because high alkaline means high voltage.

Did I mention that stress also lowers our voltage and can cause us to become sick?

In conclusion, read this important book and maybe save your life. It's an easy read for the medically-challenged like myself, and yet there is lots of scientific information for those in the know. A great book written for the masses to more easily take control of their health by understand how our bodies work.
